NEW YORK, NEW YORK one of the most filmed, photographed and written about cities in the world. THE STATE OF HAWAII is made up of eight islands, six of which are major islands for tourists to choose from: Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Lanai, Maui and the Big Island. OAHU: Here you will find Honolulu, Hawaii’s state capital and world-famous spots like Waikiki Beach, Pearl Harbor and the North Shore. KAUAI: is the oldest and northernmost of Hawaii’s major islands and is less developed and more laid back making it popular with visitors and Hawaiians alike. Known as the “Garden Island” here you will find valleys, mountains and cliffs unlike those on any of the other islands, as well as lush rainforests, rivers and waterfalls. It is also home to more white sandy beaches than any other major island in Hawaii. A must see is Waimea Canyon State Park – otherwise known as the Grand Canyon of the Pacific. Waimea Canyon stretches for about 10 miles and drops as deep as 3,600 feet at some points. Large parts of Jurassic Park, Fantasy Island, Raiders of the Lost Ark and the original King Kong were filmed here.

HAWAII or the “Big Island” is the youngest and largest island in the Hawaiian chain. It’s sheer size is awe-inspiring and you can travel through all but four of the world’s different climate zones ranging from Wet Tropical to Polar Tundra, a result of the shielding effect and elevations of the massive volcanoes Maunakea and Maunaloa and can witness everything from black sand beaches to flowing molten magma to snowy mountaintops. Coffee fans can find their own personal heaven here as the Big Island is home to the United States' only home-grown coffee. The island features seven different coffee-growing regions, each boasting its own unique climate and industry.

What to see:
The Arenal volcano rises over 5,000 feet above sea level and is the most active of Costa Rica's volcanoes. With its perfect conical shape and its continuing activity, Arenal is a picture book image of a volcano. Daily ash columns, underground rumbling, glowing red lava flows and sudden explosions make Arenal a must-see.

Monteverde means green mountain and the world-famous Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve is one of the most interesting highlights of Costa Rica. This large reserve is one of the most outstanding wildlife sanctuaries in the Americas and protects more than 400 species of birds and over 100 species of mammals

The Manuel Antonio National Park was established in 1972. Although it is the country's smallest national park, its stunning beauty and diversity are unequalled.
Manuel Antonio contains a charming combination of rain forest, beaches and coral reefs. These beaches are the most beautiful in the country, lined with lush forest and excellent opportunities for snorkelling. The forest is home to sloths, iguanas, rare squirrel monkeys and colourful little crabs.
